I'm delighted to share with you the fact that Coalesse will be a participant in the Milan Furniture Fair this April at the Salone Del Mobile 2013. This is the largest international home furnishing fair in the world. It will be the first time Coalesse has participated in this prestigious event.
Over 300,000 visitors attend the fair. Media from around the world attend this event reporting on new fashions and innovation that stem from the designers and manufacturers who exhibit there. Historically, Salone participants are lifestyle oriented brands dominated by iconic European companies like B&B, Vitra, Moroso, Minotti, Cassina, Poltrona Frau, Poliform and many others. It has never had a contract orientation. The emphasis is on design, designers, lifestyle and fashion.
This makes the debut of Coalesse very exciting for a number of reasons:
Our narrative is around the merger of work and life - "For the new work day" - which is based on our insights about wherever work happens, whether at the office, home, or any other place. This narrative will be new to the fair.
The idea of crossover (products that are designed for both the contract and consumer markets) is unique within the exhibitors of the Salone.
Too, American companies are a rarity at this event. So the combination of our American heritage and California spirit, five world class designers (Patricia Urquiola, Jean Marie Massaud, Scott Wilson, Toan Nguyen and Stephan Copeland), and five new crossover products based on user insights, will give us a novel feel in our debut.
We are excited about introducing ourselves on this amazing international stage and will endeavor to build Coalesse brand recognition within the greater creative community.
You will be able to read about our experience as it happens in real time on our websites (coalesse.com/.de/.fr/.eu) . Wish us luck!
