Last fall, Coalesse invited designers across Europe to participate in a design contest to create a unique LessThanFive carbon fiber chair using the Coalesse Customizer. We selected two winners, and this spring, both traveled to the Steelcase Learning and Innovation Center in Munich, Germany, to receive their creations.
At the Steelcase LINC, the designers saw their designs translated onto the LessThanFive Chair for the first time. “It was an unforgettable day for me,” said Simona Sacchi, Designer at Simona Sacchi in Rome, Italy. “It was very satisfying to see my graphic printed on the amazing LessThanFive Chair.”
Simona’s design was chosen by a panel of judges that included Michael Young, designer of the LessThanFive Chair, John Hamilton, Coalesse Global Design Director, Rick Bomer, Coalesse EMEA Sales Director and James McLachlan, Editor at Icon Magazine.
Christopher Delahunt, an architect at tpbennett in London, United Kingdom, won his deisgn, “The Dial Up Chair.” He was selected through a popular vote on Instagram.
