Home / Milan Design Week 2026

During Milan Design Week 2026, British designer Tom Dixon and his interior design agency, Design Research Studio (DRS), will host a multi-brand residency at the Mulino Estate. Running from 21st – 26th April, the presentation marks the debut of Dixon’s AW26 collections and features a collaborative installation with office furniture leaders Steelcase, Coalesse and Viccarbe.
The residency is centred around a preview of Mua Mua, a new hotel concept situated within the historic Mulino Estate. Originally designed in 1929 by Chiodi and Gio Ponti, the complex has been under the ownership of the Virga family since 1955. Curated by Ludovica Virga as a multidisciplinary hub, the property also features a garage, central courtyard, and original Gio Ponti grain silos. Following the Design Week residency, the estate will transition into a fully operational hotel.
Coalesse and Viccarbe are taking over the estate’s Garage to present meaningful communal spaces that energize the brightest workplaces in an immersive experience where workspace meets disco. The showcase explores the blurred lines between professional and social spheres, featuring a curated installation of Coalesse, Viccarbe and Tom Dixon pieces, including the new MELT Nickle and FLARE lights. The layout is split to demonstrate a seamless transition: a focused office environment on one side and a vibrant lounge-to-party atmosphere on the other. Outside in the courtyard, the "Work Hard, Play Hard" theme continues with an outdoor collection featuring Viccarbe and Tom Dixon’s GROOVE and JACK series, highlighting the ultimate versatility of modern design.

After dropping out of art school and spending the next two decades at the forefront of contemporary design, revered British innovator Tom Dixon established his namesake brand in 2002. Armed with the finest materials and a steadfast commitment to meticulous craftsmanship, the brand began by offering bold yet timeless furniture and lighting fixtures.
Tom Dixon extended production in 2012 to include a wide range of artfully devised and functional home accessories, including the brand’s signature Tank glassware, which has emerged as an acclaimed staple, alongside pendant lights and wingback chairs.
