Home / A Tailored Experience for Architects and Interior Designers
This post was written by Sandra Garcia, Coalesse’s Workplace Consultant focused on Global Client Collaboration for Europe, who is based in France. Sandra recently traveled to Chicago and Grand Rapids with a group of architects and interior designers to deliver a Coalesse experience.
Coalesse's strives to create great spaces with our premium office furniture that inspires great work, and that mission is evident to guests who have the opportunity to visit our dedicated spaces and truly experience our brand.
I recently had the privilege of introducing Coalesse to a group of talented architects and interior designers from France, Germany, Italy, and South Africa. Over the course of a few days, I witnessed Coalesse in three powerful ways: social connection, design inspiration, and expertise.

Social Connection
The best part of the Coalesse experience is mixing social life with business topics and connecting with each guest. After all, that’s what life is about nowadays, the careful integration of work and life, and it’s reflected in both the Coalesse and Steelcase solutions. Spending time with our group was a great reminder of the importance of fostering social connections at work.
As our group embarked on an architecture boat tour, enjoyed meals, and traveled, it became apparent that we had brought together an amazing group of individuals. Even in inclement weather, their spirits were always positive. It is a delight to work with people like this!

Design Inspiration
The Coalesse experience is rich in design inspiration. From our newest solutions displayed in the Merchandise Mart to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Meyer May House, the group was inspired by the careful thought and attention to design details.
Our setting, the city of Chicago, was inspirational, too. The city is so vibrant and rich in architecture that it is a great spot for architects and designers to visit. At the end of their visit, each guest reflected on the wonderful design inspiration they had gained from their time with Coalesse.

Expertise
We spent time with individuals from Steelcase’s Workspace Futures group and had a stimulating conversation about the research behind workplace solutions. Exchanging with this group of experts is always an interesting exercise for designers and architects as they experience first-hand the depth of research that goes into our solutions. At the end of our time together, our guests were remarking on the visionary direction and ready to turn to Steelcase insights to help design great spaces.
Great spaces inspire great work.
At the conclusion of our trip, it was clear that great spaces do inspire great work. Thanks to the wonderful settings of our trip, the Coalesse showroom, Steelcase Grand Rapids Work Lab, Meyer May house, and the city of Chicago, we developed strong connections and collaborated on amazing ideas for the future of work.
