Christophe  Pillet

Christophe Pillet, born in 1959, has been living and working in Paris since 1988. He graduated from Nice's Arts Dratifs School in 1985 and Milan's Domus Academy in 1986. After graduation, he collaborated with Martine Bedin for two years and then worked with Phillipe Starck from 1988 until 1993.

Pillet has been working independently since 1993 engaging in many fields: product and furniture design, interior decoration, architecture, scenography and artistic direction.

He creates furniture, objects, and interior designs for Cappellini, Daum, JC Decaux, Driade, Ecart International, Emu, L’Oréal, Lacoste, Moroso, Porro, Renault, Serralunga, Shiseido, Shu Uemura, Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, and Whirlpool, Pillet  also realizes interior architecture for boutiques, hotels and restaurants such as the very hip Hôtel Sezz in Paris.

His Round series of indoor/outdoor furnishings by Emu are distinctive and innovative, but never intrusive. According Christophe, “there is something that is often difficult to find in outdoor furniture, and it is precisely those things that I have tried to express in the collection: simplicity, timelessness and a touch of distant elegance.”
